Artist MELLOR who is known for her dog characters, wanted to team up with Print Social to support retired working and military dogs. Many people are unaware that working dogs do not receive financial support after retirement and are unable to get pet insurance due to their working life. The canine heroes serve most of their life in the force and then are somewhat forgotten once they are no longer fit to work. Doesn’t seem fair right?
We are supporting the charity ‘Hero Paws’, who’s purpose is to create that financial support so the care and vet bills do not fall solely to the handler or new owner. And to bridge the gap from service to general population. Their ultimate goal is to set up a sanctuary providing rehabilitation and retraining to find ex-working dogs their new happy home.
