Iyad, his wife, Sumer, and their four children, Hala, Ahmed, Karim and Tia, have been displaced repeatedly since the start of Israel’s ongoing war on Gaza, in which the Khalifa family home was bombed and all their worldly possessions destroyed.
The Khalifa family are currently all in one tent in Rafah, facing further bombardment as the IDF close in on the area. The conditions, as we know well by now, are unbearable and no place for any human to be. Iyad and his family face exploitation and illness as food supply runs out, water remains unclean, and what little food that is available is open to extortion- it costs Iyad over $100 a day to provide a single meal for the family.
Iyad, who holds a Bachelors degree in Education, and Sumer, who holds a Computing degree, both lived a quiet and comfortable life with their children before the war. PLEASE help the Khalifa family evacuate to safety and give them the opportunity to rebuild the life they worked so hard to create for themselves before the war.
