Blue Crisis by Mengfei Yu

My idea started with my favorite color -- blue. Blue is associated with many problems, such as: ocean crisis, climate crisis, depression.
I found news about the Blue crisis -- Paintmakers Are Running Out of the Color Blue. But to think about what lies behind the crisis is the larger crisis of humanity -- the increasing natural disasters caused by a warming climate, the high demand for plastic, the global spread of infectious diseases.
So I think one can look from the blue paint shortage to the various crises that are coming from around the world. Of course, everyone has their own way of thinking, but I hope to provoke more people to think about the world crisis through the design of illustrations about the lack of blue paint.
Student brief was ‘Cost of Living’.
