’Sustainable House’ by Arran Semple

My design was influenced by the goal mentioned on the COP 26 website - ‘Work together to
deliver’. After attending a climate march in Glasgow during the summit, it was refreshing to see the
passion and togetherness of the general public. We all have to alter our everyday lives to be more
climate conscious. My graphic t-shirt design gives an insight into how we can do more. An
elevation of a London townhouse gives a peek into several examples of making positive changes.
Buying locally, cycling to work, hanging laundry, timing your showers and gardening are all small
steps in the right direction for us all. I wanted my concept to articulate the camaraderie that is
required for a sustainable future. It was also key to me to create a crisp and cohesive shape that
would transfer well onto a t-shirt for a minimal aesthetic alongside an important message.
