'The Future is in our Hands' by Aishani Arya

The climate of earth is inevitably changing, due to the consequences our actions. The tarot card represents a metaphorical symbol of our future, being held in our collective hands. The tarot design is inspired from the illustrations of the ‘wheel of fortune’ tarot card. This design is a warning of the future, but it is also a reflection of a hopeful future, showing the next necessary steps we must take the reverse climate change. The ‘wheel of fortune’ tarot card depicts cycle, change and opportunity. Steps like recycling, reducing waste and sustainable energy are opportunities to take action; doing our part to create small changes leads to big changes.
The power is in our hands; the hand holding the card represents the responsibility of all humans. The flames are a reminder of our past destruction and well as our power to stop it from being irreversible. The colours and details are meant to be empowering, but also feel urgent.
Our cards show that earth needs help in the future, but are we willing listen?
