I was inspired by a wonderful terracotta vase from Archeological Museum in Athens.
It struck me how this very smart animal can be graphically rendered so that its tentacles become a decorative element.
Many biologists maintain that the octopus is a very intelligent animal, and my work as an artist is an aesthetic translation of the wonder of the plant and animal world.
