1st July is Action Mesothelioma Day 2022, a national campaign raising awareness of mesothelioma and its devastating effects.
Mesothelioma UK have collaborated with Lizzy Kyriacou, owner of craft and design company, Wolf & Bee, to design some unique Action Mesothelioma Day T-shirts.
Aside from utilising her artistic talents, Lizzy was keen to work with us due to her personal connection to the charity.
"I was over the moon to be asked by Alyshia at Mesothelioma UK to design a limited edition t-shirt.
My sister-in-law was diagnosed with Mesothelioma in 2019, so it's a charity that is very close to my family’s heart.
I really wanted to keep the Forget-me-not flower as part of the design. Among other things, Forget-me-nots are said to symbolise true love and respect, something all those connected to Mesothelioma UK have in abundance. The heart shaped cluster of flowers represents all the souls affected by the disease, and the cupped hands show the gentle support given by all at Meso UK to families, friends and loved ones."
