In celebration of LGBTQI+ History Month, I created this design based on the prominent ACT UP design of the same text, created in 1987 by Gran Fury (Artists' collective) to raise awareness for the ways in which corporate greed, government inaction and public indifference contributed to the AIDS crisis. As a queer artist living in America, these words feel relevant today in the wake of a series of anti-LGBTQI+ legislature. This design is inspired by the rich history of queer community response and resistance, and is a nod to the activists that have paved the way.
