ABOUT THE DESIGN
“Honor All Bodies is a departure from the softer work that I have created for Clay Tits. As opposed to my usual pastels and delicate figures, I wanted this shirt to be simple, bold, and blunt. The design makes a statement that is readable from afar, instead of expressing sentiments that one must be at an intimate distance to decipher. Additionally, I know that while the feminist and body positive movements are both exciting and well-intentioned, much of the time our women of color, our transgender community, and our larger bodies are left out of the revolution. I found it essential to depict bodies that are somewhat ambiguous in nature, and that can be interpreted as many bodies, so that everyone who wears this shirts feels as though they are standing for themselves. I am happy to see this design selected and my feelings validated by other humans I admire, as we continue our journey towards total acceptance of one another.”
