The subject of this design has many names all over Asia -
I know her as Gun Yam 觀音, but she's more widely known as Guan Yin 观音 (in mandarin).
She is the goddess of mercy and compassion - carrying her willow branch and vase which are used to help heal those in need. In these troubling times, whether you're a person of colour or not, whether you present as female or otherwise - a bit of compassion for those that are othered will always go a long way.
All of the profits from this t-shirt will be going to End The Virus of Racism - a UK non-profit working dedicated to addressing Asian racism and supporting the ESEA communities.
