There is nothing more enjoyable than being outdoors on a nice day. Being sun safe is important during our time outside and applying sunscreen is essential. Not all sunscreen is the same though and some are harmful to our skin and our reefs. It's important to actually check the “active ingredients” label on the back of your sunscreen or personal care product to ensure that reef-harming chemicals are not included. Check online for chemicals to avoid and how to purchase safer and more environmentally friendly sunscreen products. Be an advocate for sun safety and the protection of our oceans!
