In 2022 I lost my amazing mum to colon cancer. This design is a tribute to her and her positivity throughout her illness. When the illness took over her voice and she could no longer speak, she communicated though writing notes. I found 'Its like running a marathon uphill in flipflops' on a note after she passed away; I can only assume it's how she described fighting her illness. However sick she was, her humor remained, and the sunflower will always be a symbol of Sue to me.
