Eat your fruits and veggies

We all know this sentence “an apple a day keeps the doctor away” quite well. It should remind us to live a healthy life where we treat our body in a way in which it is not dependent on doctors or other people. However, there are people which do not have this “healthy body” to be completely independent because they were born or live with disabilities which make life more complex. Lebanon is one example where people do need help from others. Lebanon had and still has to deal with lots of suffering like civil wars, corruption and economic crisis. In addition, they took many refugees from the civil war in Syria which makes their circumstances even more challenging. Therefore, the charity Karmelmission opened a school in Lebanon in which they are teaching blind people to get independent by supporting them to learn Braille, to work on computers, to weave baskets or to do pottery. This all should help them to pay their own living expenses. By doing this Karmelmission wants to help people with disabilities to give them motivation, hope and love in situations like this.
