This summer, with the support of @artrefuge_, CFC team members helped to organise a collaborative art session at a day centre in Calais where many of the people we support go to get some respite. The aim was to draw, talk, and spend time together while collaborating to produce drawings for our t-shirt fundraiser. The money raised from t-shirt sales will help us to continue supporting people on the move in Calais and resisting the hostile environment created by the British and French governments.
A former CFC volunteer and artist, Elly Brimacombe, formatted the drawings created at the art session into designs for t-shirts. These two designs are inspired by the food we distribute with an aim to increase food autonomy for displaced communities stuck at the French-British border.
