I’m Mellow Yue Li, an enthusiastic illustration artist from Shanghai and based in New York. My work explores female identities and relationships of various contexts in combination with nature and mystical beings.
“Beyond what you see” is an illustration about a world where different creatures live organically, the insects, the microbes and the bone… I love exploring the symbiotic relationship between humans and the non-human world, including animals, plants, fungi, etc. I believe in order to gain a fundamental understanding of oneself is under the guidance of different creatures.
