Hamlet is a tragedy, autism is not.
So many narratives around autism present autistic people as burdens, our autism as a tragedy that has befallen us. This stigma has a direct impact on our lives and contributes to the rhetoric which allows conversion therapy, institutionalisation and individual and systemic abuse.
This t-shirt is designed by an autistic creative in response to the absolutely terrible autism merchandise found across the world.
