The Trussell Trust is an NGO and Charity that works tirelessly to fight hunger and poverty in the UK. They have a network of food banks across the country providing emergency food and support to people in crisis.
Hunger in the UK is not a new phenomenon and, in 2019, 1.6 million people made use of The Trussell Trust food banks across the UK. This is an outrageous and deep-rooted problem within our society that should not be happening – a problem that has only worsened since the outbreak of Coronavirus. Many families are financially struggling and many have lost their jobs as a result of this pandemic. More people than ever are having to turn to Charities like The Trussell Trust to provide them with their most basic needs. They are in desperate need of our support.
