Right now, we are living in unprecedented times. The COVID-19 pandemic has claimed thousands of lives, 34 infected millions more and reached over 100 countries.
As the world stands still in a collective effort to fight the spread, we have time to reflect and from this we understand two things: first we realised here in Italy that, despite its own deficiencies, we have access to a complete and working health care system, which can not be said of many other countries. Second, we needed to do something to help those fighting the virus.
So, what could we do? From our small corner, we decided to build a musical project that could in some way raise funds and contribute to those on the frontline fighting coronavirus in the poorest regions of the world.
So we asked our friends from our network of underground music labels to contribute one track from their artists, to create a compilation that will be sold online on Bandcamp (https://asafeplace.bandcamp.com/) with all proceeds going to charity.
Since we wanted to focus on the poorest countries that are suffering the most during this emergency, we chose to donate the income to MEDECINS SANS FRONTIERES, the independent medical humanitarian that operates worldwide. Active in more than 70 countries in some of the world’s poorest regions, Its doctors are guided by the principles of impartiality and equality (Full report available here https://www.msf.org/covid-19).

We aim to print and ship orders within 10-15 working days (20-25 working days during peak times) from the end of the campaign.
